Neele-Vat 's groupage process is streamlined to ensure speed and compliance, from collection to delivery.
- Booking and document control
Upon notification of your shipment, Neele-Vat immediately checks all required documents:
- Commercial invoice with HS codes,
- Packing list,
- EORI numbers of shipper and consignee,
- Any certificates of origin or veterinary certificates.
If required, Neele-Vat will prepare these documents for you or take care of the complete customs declaration.
- Collection and consolidation in the Netherlands
Your goods are picked up from the sender and brought together in the Neele-Vat cross-dock locations in Rotterdam or Venlo. Here consolidation takes place with other groupage shipments to England.
This bundling reduces costs and increases efficiency. Each pallet is registered in the Transport Management System (TMS), including bar coding and tracking information.
- Customs clearance and export formalities
Neele-Vat takes care of the complete export declaration (EX-A) in the Netherlands and coordinates the import declaration in the UK through local customs partners.
All data is pre-notified digitally via the UK GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) system, so that vehicles can cross the border without waiting time.
- Fixed ferry connections and corridors
Daily groupage routes connect the Netherlands with England via:
- Rotterdam - Harwich
- Hook of Holland - Killingholme
- Zeebrugge - Hull
- Calais - Dover
Average transit time: 48 to 72 hours from pickup to delivery.
- Unloading and distribution in England
In the UK, local Neele-Vat partners operate from hubs near London, Birmingham and Manchester. From there, shipments are delivered to the final recipient, including Proof of Delivery (POD) and real-time status updates.
- Return logistics and packaging management
On the way back, packaging, empty pallets or return shipments can be included. This makes the groupage network circular and cost-efficient.
