The process involves five clear steps:
- Arrival and reception in Belgium
Goods arrive at one of Neele-Vat's logistics hubs, such as Antwerp, Ghent, Moerdijk or Liege. These locations act as consolidation and transshipment points for export flows from the Netherlands or other EU countries.
- Cross-docking and bundling
At the cross-dock center, incoming shipments are scanned, sorted and immediately merged with other goods that have the same route or customer destination. This increases load factors and minimizes waiting times.
- Fixed transport corridors to Luxembourg
From the Belgian hubs, trucks depart daily for Luxembourg via fixed routes.
- Corridors: Antwerp - Liège - Luxembourg-city / Diekirch / Esch-sur-Alzette.
- Transit time: 12 to 24 hours on average, depending on service level.
- Delivery in Luxembourg
Goods are delivered directly to warehouses, stores or production sites. Deliveries can be scheduled within specific time frames, including just-in-time for production or retail.
- Return logistics and documentation
Empty packages, pallets or return shipments are included on the way back. Customers receive real-time updates, digital Proof of Delivery (POD) and CO₂ reports via the Neele-Vat customer portal.
