Current situation in the ports in China
Situation Mainports China
Tianjin
13 out of 16 districts are affected by the current outbreak, whereas the situation in Hebei province worsened. First impacts on the inland transportation and container depots/freight stations are noticeable. The ocean ports and airports operations are not affected yet. Some factories, especially in the Hebei province, are closed and in restricted areas. Some high speed roads are blocked and crossing province-borders might be prohibited without a negative test.
Qingdao
Situation has improved, but some factories remain in restricted areas – pick-ups and deliveries need to be checked case by case. Ocean port operation is not affected. Ground handling at the Qingdao airport requires a longer operation time.
Shanghai
Despite the authority’s plan to lift the lockdown in Pudong on the 1st April and Puxi on the 5th April, majority of Shanghai remains in a strict lockdown and without an exact timeline set. Inland trucking capacity for FCL, LCL and Air limited. Most warehouses and container freight stations have suspended the service. Ocean ports have not been affected yet, but multiple ocean lines report an increase of congestion and delays. The Civil Aviation Administration banned all international inbound flights to Shanghai which will lead to a lower capacity. Additionally, the acceptance of all inbound DG cargo will be suspended for the next two weeks.
Ningbo
Ningbo has reported the first few cases, without an impact on the transportation by ocean and air yet. A shortage of truck drivers has been reported as they had been asked to undergo mandatory testing.

Shenzhen
Lockdown lifted widely, but a few areas are still undergoing restrictions. Ocean ports in the region are not affected. Ground handling at the Shenzhen airport returned to normal. Presenting a negative test result is mandatory.
