Holiday driving ban
A driving ban applies to vehicles with an authorized total weight of more than 12 tons:
on holidays: from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
on the days preceding a holiday: from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Summer driving ban 2022
The summer driving ban in Poland for vehicles and vehicle combinations with a maximum permissible total weight of more than 12 tons goes into effect June 1 (the last day of school) and lasts until Aug. 28, 2022.

transport of live animals
transportation of goods for political, economic, cultural, educational and sports events
transportation of radio and television recording equipment
Vehicles for loading and unloading rail cars within a 50km radius of the loading or unloading station
humanitarian transports
combined transport
mail freight and transportation of newspapers and magazines
transportation of oil, fuel, water, spare parts for ships
transport of drugs
transportation of those quantities of hazardous materials that require the use of the "orange plate
transportation of cement
transport of household waste
agricultural tractors
medical research vehicles
vehicles that entered Poland before the driving ban and have to travel a maximum distance of 50km from the border and vehicles waiting in the border zone to leave Poland
Temporary driving ban
During extremely high temperatures, temporary traffic restrictions may also be imposed on vehicles over 12 tons total weight. This driving ban then applies from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is communicated at least 2 days in advance to the police, customs and media, among others.
