Driving bans on Holidays and Special Circumstances
Sunday driving ban
On Sundays and holidays, a driving ban for vehicles with a maximum allowable mass (tmm) over 7.5 tons applies from 0.00-22.00 on all through routes.
Vacation ban
During the period from July 1 to August 31, a vacation driving ban from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. will apply on all Saturdays. This driving ban applies to vehicles with a tmm over 7.5 tons on all international highways and all main roads.
Exceptions
This driving ban does not apply to the transportation of:
perishable goods
live animals
campers and buses
combined transport vehicles
for the purpose of cultural and sporting events

A waiver for this can be requested from CESMAD Slovakia.
