Driving bans on holidays and special circumstances
On all major through roads and bridges, there is a daily driving ban from 7:00-10:00 a.m. and from 5:00-20:00 p.m. On the Edirne to Istanbul route, there is a driving ban from 7:00-10:00 am and back to Istanbul from 5:00-20:00 pm.
There is also a driving ban on the beginning and end days of Ramadan and the Feast of Sacrifice. The driving bans do not apply to the transportation of live animals and fresh fruits and vegetables.
