Digital control via WMS
All orders are controlled through a Warehouse Management System (WMS). This system indicates in real time which products, how many pieces and from which location should be picked.
Picking methods
Depending on the order and volume, different methods are used:
- Single order picking - suitable for small, individual orders.
- Batch picking - picking multiple orders at once to increase efficiency.
- Zone picking - employees are responsible for specific zones in the warehouse.
- Wave picking - orders are processed in waves based on scheduling and transportation arrangements.
Innovative technologies
Modern warehouses use technologies such as pick-to-light, voice picking or even robots and automatic shuttles. These increase speed and reduce error rates.
Quality control
After picking, orders are checked for correctness and completeness. This prevents errors and returns, which contributes directly to customer satisfaction.
Packing and shipping
After inspection, the goods go to the packing department, where they are prepared for transport. This process can be combined with Value Added Services (VAS) such as labeling, bundling or personalization.
