Hoe werkt zeevracht vanuit Rotterdam?
Zeevracht vanuit Rotterdam begint met de keuze tussen een eigen container (FCL) of een gedeelde container (LCL). Goederen worden via de weg, het spoor of de binnenvaart getransporteerd naar de terminals op de Maasvlakte. Alle zendingen worden verplicht digitaal vooraangemeld via Portbase om toegang te krijgen tot de haven. Als AEO-gecertificeerd expediteur handelt Neele-Vat hierbij de douane-documentatie en de Bill of Lading af. Op de terminal laden kranen de container op het schip, waarna deze wordt vastgezet met twistlocks voor de overtocht.
