Marking: wider → outline lights + reflectors; longer → red marker sign + lights/reflectors. Exception: extendable vehicles/45-ft container max. 17.30 m, up to 0.80 m projection behind.
Special circumstances & routes
Daily between 06:00 and 21:00, transport wider than 4m or longer than 30m is allowed on the road. Widths over 3.5m are limited to highways with a maximum of two lanes. Transport heavier than 60t, wider than 3.5m or longer than 27m is not allowed to drive between 07:00-09:00 and 16:00-18:00, or in slippery and poor visibility (below 200m).
Weekend & holidays: Ban on exceptional transport from Saturday 12:00 to Sunday 24:00. Exception: cranes up to 96 tons or 3.0m wide.
