ACN (Air Cargo Netherlands)

What is Air Cargo Netherlands (ACN)?

Air Cargo Netherlands (ACN) is the trade association for the air cargo industry in the Netherlands. ACN was founded in 1993 and is based at Schiphol. The organization represents the interests of the Dutch air cargo sector and connects all parties in the air cargo chain: airports, airlines, air freight forwarders, ground handling companies, air cargo truckers, and business service providers. ACN’s primary objective is to strengthen the competitive position and promote the development of the Dutch air cargo industry in the broadest sense.

What does Air Cargo Netherlands do?

  • Advocacy — ACN represents the air freight chain before government agencies and regulatory bodies, both in The Hague and in Brussels.
  • Collaboration and knowledge sharing — ACN serves as the bridge between the parties in the air freight chain and, together with its members, tackles common challenges such as digitization and security.
  • Promotion of the sector — ACN puts Dutch air freight on the map, both nationally and internationally, as a key link in the global logistics chain.
  • Support and Advice — Members receive support in the areas of regulations, policy, training, and industry trends.

Example: What are the benefits of an ACN membership?

An air freight forwarder that joins ACN gains access to the network of stakeholders in the Dutch air freight sector and stays informed about developments in the industry. Members participate in events, training sessions, and workshops and benefit from advocacy efforts toward the government and regulators.

For logistics service providers such as Neele-Vat , involvement with ACN means having a say and collaborating within the sector, thereby contributing to the further growth of the Dutch air freight industry. Want to learn more about our air freight services? Visit our air freight page.
