Container ship blocks Suez Canal
A container ship sailing through the Suez Canal was en route from China to the Port of Rotterdam and became stuck off the coast of Egypt. The ship Ever Given, owned by the Evergreen shipping line, is currently blocking the entire Suez Canal.
With a length of nearly four hundred meters and a width of nearly sixty meters, Evergreen Shipping Line’s container ship is one of the largest container ships in the world. The Ever Given was scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam next Wednesday from the Suez Canal, but that will undoubtedly be delayed. The ship is stuck diagonally across the Suez Canal.
