In collaboration with terminal operator APM, Neele-Vat has set up a gas measurement and fumigation station in Zeebrugge. The handling capacity is expected to far exceed 50 containers per day. The station will fully comply with FAVV regulations for imports and exports. The company sees opportunities to expand this new activity due to new phytosanitary guidelines, particularly regarding the treatment of logs and wooden packaging.

The new gas measurement and fumigation station will be an excellent and efficient alternative, particularly for Belgian, Northern French, and German exporters and importers. Unlike existing operations, the Neele-Vat gasmeetstation will operate on the terminal grounds. Alain Declercq, manager of Neele-Vat Zeebrugge, is extremely enthusiastic about the new gas measurement and fumigation station, as it adds value to the Port of Zeebrugge, where this service has not been offered until now. “I anticipate that our new station will be particularly valuable for the export of logs.”
