Neele-Vat Logistics acquires Steder Group, thereby strengthening its global ocean freight position

Logistics service provider Neele-Vat Logistics has reached an agreement to acquire the Steder Group. This strengthens Neele-Vat s position as a ocean freight forwarder in the port of Rotterdam. It also adds international branches in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Houston and Dubai.

This acquisition marks further international growth for Neele-Vat. In particular, with the addition of 50 employees in Scotland, the total number of employees in the United Kingdom will grow to more than 100. As a result, Neele-Vat is increasing its scale, which is essential to remaining competitive in Europe in the future.

Despite the acquisition, Steder, with 100 employees, will continue to operate under its own name within the Neele-Vat group for the time being. Furthermore, the management will stay on and thus the acquisition will have no impact on employment.

It is important to note that Steder Agencies & Chartering will remain an independent entity and will not be sold.

Even with this growth, Neele-Vat Logistics will remain a true Rotterdam-based family business following the acquisition. With a total of 1,000 employees, 27 locations in 10 countries, 255,000 m² of warehouse space, and revenue of 395 million euros, the company continues its expansion.
