Neele-Vat expands hazardous materials storage and opens third warehouse on Maasvlakte

Neele-Vat specializes in the warehousing of hazardous substances, in accordance with the PGS 15 guidelines. We therefore continuously invest in improving and expanding PGS 15 storage facilities. In mid-2019, we will open our third, high-tech warehouse at the Maasvlakte. Thisnew ±21,000 m² distribution center will be specialized for the storage of merchandise and packaged hazardous materials. Unique to this warehouse is the filling, packaging, mixing and storage of liquid chemical products.

In total, approximately 6,000 m² will be carefully configured for the storage of hazardous substances, in accordance with the strict PGS 15 standards. The three compartments and the shipping zone, with a total of nine docks, will be closely monitored by an advanced CO₂ fire suppression system. In addition, approximately 12,500 m² will be specifically designed for the storage of commercial goods, which will also be effectively protected by an advanced sprinkler system. The building shell will consist partly of a robust concrete structure and partly of a sturdy steel structure. The facade will then be professionally finished with a concrete plinth and durable steel sandwich panels.

Unique to this warehouse is the filling, packaging, blending, and storage of liquid chemical products, which are seamlessly integrated into approximately 1,500 m² of the warehouse. Annually, between 75,000 and 100,000 metric tons of cargo are expected to pass through the complex, a portion of which consists of new cargo destined for Rotterdam.

Neele-Vat already operates two other warehouses on the Maasvlakte. By effectively combining these three locations, we now have a total of no less than 60,000 m² of storage and warehousing capacity, approximately 100,000 Euro pallet spaces, and an impressive 13,000 m² full-service terminal.

We will also set up an advanced cold storage facility at this new location. In this facility, we will focus specifically on the storage of refrigerated chemicals, with the utmost care and attention to safety.

Filling, packaging, mixing and storage

With our newest facility at the Maasvlakte, we are further expanding our services to include the packaging and repackaging of your (liquid) chemicals.
