Discover the City Terminal: A new standard in logistics innovation

We are proud to present our latest development: the City Terminal, a state-of-the-art logistics hub that will be operational from January 2025. At Neele-Vat, we continuously strive to improve our logistics solutions. This terminal sets new standards in efficiency, sustainability and service orientation.

A strategic location for the City Terminal

The Terminal is in a unique location in Rotterdam, close to the Maasvlakte and with direct connections to the A15. The terminal offers direct links to the Rotterdam Short Sea Terminal (RST), Rail Service Center (RSC) and Matrans. This means that no external shunts are needed to transport containers between terminals, resulting in fast, flexible handling and last-minute deliveries for closures. In addition, barge options are available that contribute to a 20% CO2 reduction.

Facilities and sustainability

With an area of 25,115 m², the Terminal is equipped with:

  • 40 docks for optimal loading efficiency.
  • A PGS15 bunker for storage of hazardous materials.
  • Electric truck charging stations and plans to install 6,500 solar panels.

The terminal also integrates advanced technologies, such as an AI-driven ISPS access system linked to our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transport Management System (TMS).

Advanced logistics services

The City Terminal is designed to accommodate a wide range of logistics services, including:

  • Cross-docking and storage.
  • Value-added services, such as pick and pack.
  • Specific solutions for hazardous materials and temperature-sensitive products.
Our vision for the future

The move to City Terminal will take place in phases, with the first operations scheduled for January 2025. This project symbolizes our commitment to sustainable growth and providing excellent logistics services.

With the City Terminal, we strengthen our position as a leader in the logistics sector and continue to provide our customers with solutions that go beyond transportation alone.
