Our logistics operations are focused on reducing the carbon footprint:
- Electric Automated Vehicles (EVs): Annually we realize a reduction of 100,000 tons of CO2 emissions through reduced road traffic.
- City Terminals: Strategically located locations near ports and railroads to shorten transportation distances and increase efficiency.
- Sustainable Warehouses: Our BREEAM-certified maganzines ensure sustainable operations.
- Paperless Operation: We are reducing plastic packaging and aiming for a completely paperless operation.

Health and Safety: A Holistic Approach
The health and safety of our employees and the community are our priority:
- VitaSana Program: This program provides financial and psychological support to all of our employees, with a focus on wellness and balance.
- Sporting events: We sponsor initiatives such as the Harbour Run and Roparun to promote healthy lifestyles, both individually and within teams.
- Safety ABC: Our strict safety system ensures that we meet the highest safety standards in all our operations.

Investing in Education and Talent
At Neele-Vat, we invest in developing the next generation of logistics talent:
- Young Talent Programs & Kickstarters Program: These initiatives provide career opportunities for young talent and new startups in logistics.
- NV Academy: We invest in the future of our employees and their families by offering scholarships for their children and providing hands-on training.
- Internships and Training: With annually 35 MBO and 20 HBO/WO internships and more than 150 online courses, we continue to challenge and develop our employees. We also offer language courses for non-native speakers to support them in their integration.
Progress toward Sustainable Reporting
We are preparing for the implementation of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which requires companies to prepare comprehensive reports on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance:
- 2025: We begin measuring our progress according to CSRD guidelines.
- 2026: We submit our first ESG report. With a clear roadmap, we are ready to report and make our sustainability efforts more transparent and effective.
