After exactly one year of hard work and intensive preparations, we are proud to announce that we have received the GDP Wholesale License for our Neele-Vat Maasvlakte facility. This means that we now officially meet all the strict requirements for the storage and distribution of medicines. A great achievement that was not achieved without a struggle!

What is a GDP Wholesale license?

A Good Distribution Practice (GDP) wholesale license is a certification that demonstrates a company's compliance with strict guidelines for the transportation and storage of pharmaceutical products. These guidelines are designed to ensure the quality and integrity of pharmaceuticals throughout the logistics chain, from manufacturer to end user. Obtaining a GDP wholesale license requires compliance with specific requirements on temperature management, traceability, hygiene and documentation, with the aim of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medicines.

The process of securing this permit required effort from several teams. Quality, as part of SHEQ, in the lead, together with colleagues from Neele-Vat Maasvlakte and Business Development. Together we made sure that everything - from temperature controls in the Bunker to extensive documentation - was taken care of to perfection. Inspections, Audits and checks passed, all thanks to the great cooperation between the departments.
