Neele-Vat Logistics will structurally use rail for its part-load and FTL services from the Netherlands to southern Germany vise versa. After an extensive test period of 2 months, the experiences are very positive and the services will be further expanded.
3 times a week 45ft pallet wide containers with Dutch groupage and FTL cargo vise versa depart from the PCT terminal in Rotterdam to the Riem terminal in Munich. This new service reaches an area of 0 to 150 km around Munich . In Munich the containers are unloaded and reloaded by Dutch drivers.
From southern Germany, Neele-Vat Logistics offers intermodal services to the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland and Scandinavia. "In this way we further respond to the increasing need for sustainability " said Peter Vinke, director Neele-Vat Logistics. "The advantage for our relations is that in addition to a substantial Co2 reduction, almost 2 tons of extra cargo can be loaded compared to standard road transport. Furthermore, we are able to offer lead times that are almost equal to road transport".
