A national day of action is being organized by the Belgian labor unions, but why?

Over the past two years, labor unions and employers have been negotiating the interprofessional agreement (IPA 2021–2022). However, these negotiations are currently proceeding very slowly and not as the unions had envisioned. For this reason, the Belgian unions ACV, ABVV, and ACLVB are organizing a national day of action on Thursday, February 25, 2021.

What does this mean for Belgian companies?
On this national day of action, there is a high likelihood that various Belgian companies will be understaffed or may even temporarily close their doors. For this reason, we recommend that you take this into account well in advance. We also advise you to contact your Belgian customer beforehand so that you can properly schedule your shipments.
