Approximately one year after the merger of the two Rotterdam-based family-owned companies, Neele Logistics and Vat Logistics, Ron Neele (59) is stepping down as CEO of Neele-Vat.
Ron Neele will be succeeded by Cuno Vat (36). Vat is the son of Ruud Vat, founder of Vat Logistics and CEO of that company until the merger one year ago.
With Cuno Vat, the family-owned company Neele-Vat has a young yet experienced CEO on board. Over the past few years, Cuno has gained experience at various logistics companies in the Port of Rotterdam and, over the past seven years, has worked his way up within the family business from General Manager—where he was responsible for the warehouse on the Maasvlakte—to Managing Director, a role he has held in recent years.
Effective January 1, 2016, Cuno Vat will permanently take over the reins from Ron Neele. We would like to thank Ron for his contributions to both Neele Logistics and Neele-Vat and wish him all the best for the future.
