Within the Neele Vat family, Steder is the team to call on when standard logistics is not enough. Achieving the impossible is something they often say, and their track record proves it.
But what does that "impossible" look like in practice?
Heavy elevator crane logistics
Steder regularly handles the transportation of complete crane systems, including units such as the 2100 735MT with 54-meter booms. These types of projects require detailed route planning, accurate crane operations, technical surveys and full on-site supervision from start to finish.
Aerial project solutions
When deadlines are tight, Steder's air freight team springs into action. They have organized and supervised more than 25 Antonov flights, transporting containers and generators of up to 24 tons each. From chartering to load planning and ground handling, everything is done in-house.
Specialist reel handling
Steder is a market leader in industrial reel logistics and manages the entire chain. This includes multimodal transport via truck and barge, complex crane operations, professional lashing and securing, and storage at its own outdoor facilities in the Netherlands. These are equipped with three reachstackers, each with a capacity of up to 36 tons.
Transportation of power plants and generators
The team handles complete logistics routes for generators and complete power plants. From inland transport and terminal handling to ocean freight and on-site delivery, with Steder specialists present during every critical stage.
What sets Steder apart is not only what they transport, but especially how they do it. Practical, hands on and purposeful, with on-site colleagues who manage risk so customers can focus on their own processes. As part of the Neele Vat family, this specialized approach is supported by a strong global network.
