Timely delivery at Neele-Vat is the result of a carefully constructed logistics process supported by technology, experience and planning expertise.
- Smart route planning and daily departure corridors
Trucks depart daily from the Netherlands and Belgium for Italy.
- Cross-docking takes place in Rotterdam, Venlo and Antwerp.
- Goods are bundled and transported by fixed routes to Bologna and Rome.
- From there, daily subcorridors leave for Naples, Bari, Taranto, Reggio Calabria and Sicily.
Average transit time: 72 to 96 hours, depending on the final destination.
- Advanced scheduling software
Using a Transport Management System (TMS) and real-time data, Neele-Vat plans each shipment based on:
- TRAFFIC,
- ferry departure times,
- ADR requirements,
- local delivery windows.
As a result, delays are actively prevented rather than reactively resolved.
- Local partners and depots in Italy
Neele-Vat works with regular Italian distribution partners in Bologna, Naples and Bari. These depots handle last-mile deliveries and guarantee regional flexibility, even in the event of different delivery times or seasonal pressure.
- Real-time tracking and communication
Each shipment is continuously tracked via GPS tracking. Customers have access to the Neele-Vat customer portal, where they can see ETAs, PODs (Proof of Delivery) and any route changes in real time.
- Backup capacity and weekend departures
To further ensure delivery reliability, Neele-Vat has spare capacity through additional tractors and weekend events. This ensures constant deliveries even during peak periods or unforeseen circumstances.
