What is the best way to conduct a gas measurement in a container? What risks do you face when working with fumigated containers? And what is the state of cybersecurity in the port?
These are just a few of the questions that will be central to the third “Chemie on Tour” event organized by the chemical supply chain, which will take place at Neele-Vat new facility. Neele-Vat is one of the larger logistics service providers in the Rotterdam region. Its services focus on transportation, warehousing, ocean freight, and air freight.

On behalf of the Dutch Association for the Safety of the Transport of Dangerous Goods ( Neele-Vat ), a presentation will be given on best practices for gas detection of containers. Professor of Toxicology Martin van den Berg will discuss the risks of exposure to toxic substances, including the topic of container fumigation.  In addition, Ward Veltman, Cyber Security & Risk Officer at FERM, will explain the Port Cyber Resilience Program: a public-private partnership aimed at raising awareness about cyber threats. FERM is part of the Port Cyber Resilience Program, an initiative of Deltalinqs, the City of Rotterdam, the Port of Rotterdam, and the police.

Neele-Vat will host the event on April 3, '20, at its new complex at 10 Madoerastraat on the Maasvlakte.
